Watercolor & Pencil Sketches
Original Drawings by James V. Freeman
My drawings are thoughts and observations done in pencil and watercolor as a record of my experiences, memories and dreams. Sketching is where I do experiments to feel out and design creative possibilities for my final oil paintings, or just for the joy of working in light media as an end in itself. It is my working sketchbook that I've turned into a growing looseleaf folio of works. After growing tired of beating up my sketchbook and it's contents while out in the woods and years of requests of many who follow my art, I now scan each completed page, digitally archive it and print it out for my own reference and future published volumes, enabling me to offer the originals for sale. More can be seen in my "Gallery" section under Original Drawings.
